I will not be able to blog this afternoon due to other commitments. Krystal-lover will have a live blog of all the events in Chattanooga, not just the telecast, so I doubt my absence will be missed.

krystaladventure is a blog I just discovered which has some posts about the Square Off finals and qualifiers I you need some KSO material to read while you are waiting for the telecast to begin.

    Congratulations to all the contestants! What a great event! I’ve never seen anything like it in my life, and I was watching on TV. Can’t imagine what it would be like in person.

    I believe that Sonya’s 62 count in the qualifier was wrong. I think she ate 52. She should drop in the rankings soon, and will be lucky to stay in the top ten. Her time is over. She should probably retire.

    Regarding Chestnut, he always has a tough time with Kobayashi. He should retire too, because he can’t beat him.

    Sonya should join the AICE. There she might have a chance to finish in the top 3. But the IFOCE is clearly above her.

    All the old eaters retired because of Chestnut . He ruined the sport. Sonya was good for the sport and always will be.

    That was truly unbelievable, and what’s even more incredible is how much food everyone was still eating at the after-party!…only Kobayashi and Joey weren’t eating afterwords, they had truly filled every inch of their bodies with Krystals.
    Rich Lefevre never stopped eating, and if the IFOCE ever sponsors our new idea of the “24 Hours of Krystal”, He will win easily!!
    Next year, if you are in the area, show up!! We had a fantastic time, all the Krystal people treat the eaters like the gold, and this is one fun bunch of eating maniacs!!
    Sonya is a treasure that the IFOCE is lucky to have, and all the totals acheived yesterday border on the super-human. How’d you like to eat over 50 Krystals and finish eighth?!?!
    From the beginning of the Krystal season to the end, this has been a first class event, and let’s hope we get more partners like Krystal, the “Kobayashi” of sponsors.

    Sonya’s one of the best eaters out there, and she’s a great friend to us as well.
