    Well, this helps put things into perspective, even though I actually think Pat put forth less than his very best effort. Boone’s tally surprised me more than anything else! Tough outing for GJoe.

    Surprised Jamie didn’t win? Hmm… what do I know? I’m impressed by Pat, big time, the dude has balls. Dude rocks! Pat leaving IFOCE and MLE screwing the new gal are certainly great news for anyone who thinks MLE should go out of Biz, both events will strengthen the anti MLE sentiment now taking place. The indy eater events are really getting to be a formidable and have a bit more interesting collage of talent than available by the rather mundane same old same old MLE scripted events and cast.

    In this “less than his best effort”, in the very first Indy contest that this recently departed high ranking MLE competitor entered, a cry baby’s world record was broken, the so called best Indy eater ever was crushed, an annoying big mouth A-hole barely got third, but most important, some real eating talent finally showed up at these 2nd rated contests.

    And still these Indy people claim they can compete with the best. The proof is in the results. These Indies have a lot of work to do. MLE really does rule the world of CE.

    The caption above should say, “NO CHAINS, NO TALENT.”

    In closing, I missed seeing any media of these contests. If you want to see some real eaters, watch us on national TV on ESPN this July 4th.

    It looks like Independence Day is not for independent eaters.

    Furious Pete, the feel-good Youtube eating sensation who keeps boasting about how the only person he can’t beat is Kobayashi and also the person who boasts of his Z-Burger 4-peat on Youtube, happens to not show up over “family issues” the very same year Pat Bertoletti and Jamie Mac decided to compete. Guess he has to defend his reputation somehow, right?
