    Those are some nice totals. Congratulations to Sonya, Erik, Homer, Nick, and T.J. Sonya and Erik appear to be better at eating Krystals than at drinking them.

    Copycat Cha (you know who) is promoting a fat burger contest with a whopping $500 purse for first place. He must have been biting every one of his nails off with envy and bitterness realizing the Sheas and the IFOCE take command with Krystals during the month of Sept and had to come up with one of these cheap purses to keep the interest of his not ready for prime time eaters.

    Thomas must no she is no longer the darling of the ifoce. Juliet is and even though Juliet was cheated in the last Nashville, TN qualifier she will regain her composure and threaten Joey Chestnut in the finals. Even though she will win her qualifier with less than 70 she will get over 90 points in the finals. Cheating should be applauded because thats part of the game and Juliet is the best at it and its not fair to punish her for it. Though Ive no high scholl educatiun Miss Juliet gives me hope that I can cheat like her and win at comptitive eating so bar the dioor katy here I come.

    Had someone told me that Erik earned 55 Krystal points before revealing Sonya’s total I would have thought that Erik might have won the event. Both Sonya and Erik are at the top of their respective game right now, each putting up back-to-back personal best numbers in HDBs and Krystals, respectively, with the latter event a nondunking one.

    This should put to rest any doubters about Sonya’s ability, as well as Erik’s, to excel in nondunking sandwich-type food events.

    May food-drinking be banned period! If not, call it what it is, surely not competitive food-eating.

    One more thing. Why hasn’t Chowhound or Coondog capitalized on the fact that Krystal, one of the IFOCE’s biggest sponsors, has embraced nondunking rules?

    I’m puzzled and surprised.

    I left a comment the San Antonio Express didn’t like (expressing my disenchantment with a comment from CE detractor —- I used no profanity, however), and not only did they remove the comment, I’ve been banned from further posting.

    “Cheating should be applauded” — are you freaking kidding me? You are doing a great diservice to Juliet’s reputation by saying that she embraces cheating. It’s not my place to defend her, but I think she would have a real problem with the depiction of her embracing cheating. Juliet’s a great person, with some of the best family values in competitive eating. I too hope those comments were just a bad attempt at sarcasm.

    Let’s all give Juliet a chance to show what she can do as we move into the non-duncking era in CE. And, my money is on Juliet that she will do just fine.

    I think whoever made that stupid remark just wants attention. Well, he or she dang sure got it.

    No one is perfect, and all of us have made mistakes in the past. As long as we learn and grow from them, well, that’s the main thing.
