Further Results hopefully coming from Wild Bill when he makes it home. I would post more but I dont want to screw it up. The pizza was good, but very hard to eat competitively. Brick fired thin crust that demands to be savored not speed chewed. All jaw.

This was one of the most fun contests I’ve been to in awhile. Rich was able to work the crowd into a frenzy and they loved to hate Wing Kong. Bostonians greeted him on the street afterwards with much love and ribbing. Wish Philly had so many hot chix on the streets. Wish I could have done better but it was great to be there to see Kong get his first title.

Thanks to everyone in the Pretty Boi and CLC families who were very gracious hosts in a great town. I learned a lot over beers, gelato and a walk.

Not much to look at?!?!?! I’m eye candy for the ladies…Sounds like you got a little man crush Eatah.

It was a good contest, a very evenly matched table, and a lot of fun after with good friends…Thanks to the CLC clan, Pretty boy clan, and everyone who hung after for beers and a great tour of Boston, you have a wonderful city, and sports fans who actually know how to act.

Yo. The pie was approximately 18″ and cut into 12 slices. Thus, each slice could be equated to 1/2 slice of a standard large pie. Superb job to all—=====)

Great job by all minor leaguers – Wing Kong ready for the big time. Philbin , lovelier than Susan Lucci, but just as gypped. CL, too distracted thinking up clever lines for next TV appearance. Pretty Boy looking in mirror at himself, while Keeler must have actually been concentrating. Where’s the results for the rest of the field? Need that before I can insult/semi-praise others. 4:50am anonymous sounds like they need a nap. Sounds more exciting than watching the Chattanooga total domination by that new mohawk-headed eggroll eater.

    more semi-insults/praise
sixth place for Shredder against these Krystal wanna-bees? They say life starts at forty, for him, it must be ending. Max Lane – wasn’t he that placekicker for the 1912 St. Louis browns? Nice job lettercarrier and kilted poet, beating him out!!…NOT!
“The Great Moomsi” – that’s pig latin for “Doomed Eater”
“Wild Bill” should be “Domesticated William” after finishing behind the doomed one and the old gridiron pro. Finally, with these lousy totals, how could anyone DQ? Did Andelman look up poethead’s kilt?

In defense of shredder he was a good eater but never a great eater . In the end they will write a book about how many times he got screwed out of a title or for that matter screwed out of the money. He gives 100 percent in every contest but always comes up short . Talk about bad luck. Im sure he did better with the ladies than with food. Wild Bill? I dont want to touch that one. Let someone else give an opinion on that.

Why is everybody hating on Wild Bill? He’s a great guy truly dedicated to our sport. Some compete for other reasons than winning… Pick on someone else.

Wild Bill is a great guy and enhances the sport of Competitive Eating ..we all compete on different levels and the goal is always to get to the next level, whether you’re a Joey Chestnut, a Wing Kong or a Wild Bill.

..BTW, Competitive Eating is less than 1% of someone’s diet, it’s what you eat the other 99% of the time that has a much more meaningful impact on an eater’s health and skinny people drop dead of heart attacks all the time (see Jim Fixx) ..”I think he needs a bypass” is a stupid statement. please leave any “concern” for anyone’s health to their personal physician ..Thank You! 🙂

Statistics will prove that obesity is the number one cause of heart disease, diabeti stroke cancer and the list goes on. If you took a survey of how many fat people die of heart disease compared to skinny people it’s a no brainer. Compet eaters live in a state of denial because they enjoy the hobby. This is why they refuse to hear the truth

    September 29, 2009 @ 10:56 am

Pat & Steakbellie both of you make good points and Bill is a great guy but you have to face facts. Healthwise it is better to be skinny than overweight. Underweight people die of heart attacks because they are severly underweight. or they had other diseases that contributed to the heart attack. The heart was not the direct cause .

I’m not defending being overweight, my point was that you can’t determine someone’s health status SOLELY by their weight. Of course it’s not healthy being overweight ..OR smoking ..OR excess drinking ..not to mention the genetic factors involved with Cholesterol levels and heat disease.

Despite his finish, “Domesticated” William is still a great guy, but, I can also see people who see him having concerns about his carbon footprint!
Max Lane is a big guy, BUT, I’m still not impressed by anybody beating them – every time a big football player tries competitive eating – they leave the building quickly! See Bob Golic, Eric Broe, William Perry….

Being overweight is certainly not healthy but doctors and society in general try to scare you making it worse than it is. The odds of dying are greater doing something stupid on the highway or mixing alchohol with prescription drugs. I believe that being addicted to food wont is not as fatal as being addicted to food, cigarettes and alcohol at the same time

Pat dont sweat it. Nothing like eating. Life is short enjoy yourself. Order a pizza, eat a steak have some shrimp lo mein, Spaghett and meatballs and top it off with a huge sundae like Adam ate out in Philly
