    4:03 – You ever been to a qualifier?

    You can watch the Nathan’s officials tear open bags of buns. Each bag, like all food packaging, has a little box on it, called Nutritional Information. It lists the weight per serving. True story! Now, the next part requires a little math, but bear with me. Basically, if this number is bigggeeerrrr than the weight number from Coney Island, that means it weighs moooorrrrreeeee.

    To recap: That little panel can tell you alllllll about caloric content, macronutrients, weight per serving, and even more. Also, a bigger number for weight means “heavier.” Congratulations for being today-years-old when you learned that.

    I bet the dogs were 54.8906% bigger too and nick should have easily done 79.

    Awful counting and commentary by Shea in this one. He said weaver was ahead of Wehry early, but that’s not true at all. Nick was way ahead the whole time. And then someone messed up nicks count in the middle of contest and added on another 5 hot dogs…

    I’m not sure if 29.5 will hold as the top count to get a wild card spot on the Fourth. But a solid number for this early in the qualifier circuit. Can Weaver attend another qualifier to try to be his number again?

    @1:10. We all know what happened to Mo. he just decided to do a terribly filmed “buss down” on his phone at some restaurant. And then puke it up. And then do the same thing the next day, and the next day, and the next day.

    Dude literally films himself doing a challenge or a huge meal every single day.

    He’s not a competitive eater, he’s a social media eater. He’s got capacity but not speed. I don’t even think he’d be able to handle the taste/texture of having to dunk the buns…

    I was there watching and I even mentioned that the Nathan’s hot dogs seem smaller. There may be something here. Could it be when China bought out Nathan’s they reduced them.

    I wouldn’t doubt that the dogs are smaller. George & Rich are crooks who will do ANYTHING to make money. A few years ago the franks were supposedly hollowed out for Joey. They need for Joey to break his own record every year or they don’t get as much publicity. This is not a real sport so the eaters can take any kind of performance enhancing drugs & the Sheas can bend or break their own rules because there is no governing body to stop them. There are foul things going on behind the scenes & if the general public knew about them NOBODY would watch any MLE contest again.

    I discovered the secret and it has doubled pretty much every food record since. Really it’s not fair to others that don’t know of this. The ones who know are reaping the rewards. Im staying quiet for now.
