Well Mr. Hate makes the world go round, how about you e-mail your negative nasty comments directly to your most hated eaters, fans, etc. Most people who hate hate themselves most of all……….yes……just another pop psychology thingie but really, think about it. If you like being a bully or insulting, doing it privately just doesn’t get you enough attention, does it? Walk in some Goody Two Shoes from time to time, you might just enjoy life more. Back to the topic, both Pete and Crazy Legs are great entertainers and Pete is really amping up his talent. There is no one else who is as good as either of them though there are others who offer other things. Just the way it is. Deal with it and stop being jealous, learn from them. Or not…….it is your choice, you will always find someone to pick on if that is your way of relating to people and the world. Hate breeds more hate.

Funny how seiiken name always gets the indirect mention when the subject involves hate. The real seiiken haters are the ones that accuse. him of hating on his website when all he’s doing is just expressing his opinoon. But its ok.for a deranged mental case that should be instiitutionilized to post a superimposed pic of seiiken with a huge penis in his mouth.

To say “There is no one else who is as good as either of them (Pete and Conti) though there are others who offer other things” is an ignorant statement to make. For some reason MLE doesn’t give many the opportunity to this kind of media.
I’m happy that Pete is getting exposure, he’s a great guy and the fact that Conti is still getting exposure is cool too. However guys like Pat Philbin are way funnier then Pete or Conti and could do just as a good job… Tim Brown, Erik Denmark, Pat Bertie ummm and there a few others with Nathan’s final Table talent who also have lots of personality that could get a peace of the pie.
This is not a hate reply, but more of a “MLE, should share the lime light with others instead of just a few” or at least give others an opportunity

Checking in on my morning read on eatfeats, actually, after writing what I wrote I realized that I had overstated or posted something ignorant. I think that I was more responding to the hate comments and then trying to bring the topic back and away from such ridiculous postings. It is really difficult to post here with some thought amidst…..well, the postings after mine speak for themselves.
I fully agree with what My Thoughts posted and retract my comments about Pete and Crazy Legs being the best. I have watched videos of others and read many articles. There are many who offer equally entertaining interviews and performances on a par with Pete and Legs, in fact there is a wealth of talent and they are all equal and unique.
I cannot say why but can only guess that opportunities come to those who are already present in the cities for a contest and that MLE is always playing catch-up and not well organized about these opportunities. If they get a request from someone for an interview, they try in quick fashion to connect that request to an eater.
Crazy Legs is also a writer as is Eric the Red and from what I have read of Pat from Moonachie, he is quite literate and literary. Yes, it would be great if MLE were to give opportunities to many more people but I think that of late, they have. It is their organization which is in charge. From what I have read not a single eater gets paid for any media appearance. Obviously, if you live in New York or a large city, you have an advantage. If you are a very responsible person, you also have an advantage. It seems that MLE is more a responder than an initiator. Thus, it seems a bit unfair to blame eaters who get more play than others about same. It is MLE’s responsibility to spread the wealth.

That Pete sure is a classie guy. I love the way that he threw Juliet under the bus and yet did not say a word about his bestest bud legman. That is almost like saying in baseball that we call this a Sandberg when someone hits the ball over the fence and yet Sosa is on the same team. What the hell is that. Give credit where credit is due. Its called THE CARLENE POP originated by Carlene Lefevre. Its hard to tell if this shannon lady is eyeballing Davekos as if she wants to give him something after the show or just being a CT.I notice that about other female news reporters when interviewing male competitive eaters that are halfway decent looking

I’d have to agree. Davekos is one of the best. Just because you can eat more than him doesn’t mean you’re better on camera. Realize that CLC and Davekos are super good and love to promote the sport. He’s good looking, charming, and interesting to listen to. He’s one one of the best ambassadors of the sport at this moment. Just because he doesn’t take top 5 every time doesn’t mean he’s not top 5 in entertainment. “Papi Chulo” es en Puerto Rico manana!! Escuche Telemundo!

It is quite frustrating when you are confirmed to compete in a contest while a select few from that event are chosen for media interviews or television spots. Take Seiken for instance who busted his ass to perform Elvis Presley in MS not once not twice but three times only to be ignored and tossed aside like an old shoe in favor of Tim Janus and Adrian Morgan. Were either of them entertaning the audience? No . Seiken was . Therefore the sponsor running the show could have at least shared the wealth just a wee bit I wouldnt blame Seiken one bit if he never performs another Elvis song on stage unless he is properly compensated for his time.

Isn’t MLE Seiken’s “boss” and isn’t this his league? Are performers paid? Anyone can use this forum to complain but really, it is just that, a complaint. Someone might get sympathy or someone might not but if you want to try to solve problems and want something, you have to go to the right people or join another league. Being loyal to that league and even their sponsors, after all they are providing something as is the league, must count for something. That is just the way the world works.

I thought the idea was to go to a contest to compete. Who cares about anything that happens before the contest? Other than getting prepared for the contest, everything else is just a distraction. “Share the wealth?” What the hell does that mean? – you don’t get anything for interviews, just the chance to get up too early and go do something basically kinda stupid. What does that get you, some kind of fame and fortune? You need to be pretty desperate for attention (or delusional) to think that doing interviews, rapping, impersonating Elvis or anything else other eating actually matters to anyone.

Seiken should get all the exposure and nobody else. He is a pioneer and a legend as far as the media aspect of the sport is concerned and even holds a few pickle titles as well.

Well the idea is more than competing. You play the crowd a little. You are never going to be a household name if you do not win but more people in Atlanta know the name of Grace than they do Juliet. Why? Because she got up early and did the radio thing. I had someone come up to me last night and start talking about how she ” got screwed over ” because they an into CE. Radio is still alive and kicking folks. A huge swath of CE people want to be famous. Be honest it is part of the appeal of the thing. Badlands, Super Paul, Joey, Koby, Sonya, Crazy Legs, Janus, Pat…. these are faces and names that people might know if you polled them at the mall because they do a little more or they are the best or they got on TV. I hate to leave off some great eaters and people from that list but outside CE circles the rest fade real quick. I would say some of those are some of the best minds and heart of our times even if no one knows them.
