Derek should discuss how much weight he’s gained doing food challenges in Las Vegas.

All pro eaters recover by sleeping it off on the couch sipping some diet coke. It’s the oldest secret in the book! That’s how we all are able to maintain our healthy weights!! Sometimes I walk around the block once if I really feel the need to burn off a little bit more of the 10k calories I just ate. I also always make sure to post a pic or video of me exercising on my socials to prove to my followers that you CANT expect to do contests or food challenges and stay lean UNLESS you burn off all the calories surplus. It’s simple maths!!

Is this forum for fans? Seems like the eaters are the only ones commenting. You don’t see that in any professional sports blogs. Just sayin it’s very weird. Also very obvious who each person is and the hate from the eaters is awful too. Very unprofessional and never stops. I’m hoping I’m not the only fan and would like to see this. Column go without the commenting section so this can be open to the fans only. It’s sickening to read the news and follow up with childish nonsense. Just my opinion

No, this forum isn’t really for fans. This is just where us competitive eaters make fun of each other, accuse people of different things, speculate on contests results, and pass along rumors we hear. In an anonymous setting, of course. Every once in a while, there will be an up-lifting post / a nice story that OJ creates a thread about. But mostly, it’s a warzone in here.
If you’re a fan, your best bet is following your favorite eaters on their social media, or trying to see an event in person if there is ever a contest in your neck of the woods. It tends to be only eaters commenting, because competitive eating is a very niche sport with an extremely small following if you exclude the current and “retired” eaters. Other pro sports forums have a fan base that is 1000x or 10,000x larger than the number of pro athletes. Not so for Comp. Eaters–we tend to be our own biggest fans and followers.

This is why competitive eating will never be popular. Sick bunch here commenting about themselves (Josh the goat). Example.

Josh the goat is the only one here talking about Josh the goat, so I agree. He’s his own biggest fan
