Andrew Lane must get some kind of sadistic thrill out of getting his ass handed to him by competing in qualfiers he doesn’t have a prayer of winning with kick ass numbers of 11 and 12

FANTASTIC! I have met Chip Simpson once or twice. aside from writing an embarrasing ficticious story about Goldstein being his estranged dad i never had much conversation with the man. What he did today was not only incredible but something that will be talked about for years. This is a true rising superstar in my book. He achieved a pace of approx 3 per minute. Anyone can eat 3 hot dogs and buns per minute but try keeping that pace for 12 minutes. Awesome job Chip! He will be partying tonight.

I am sorry to everyone, including Legs and Tim. I did not realize i had put 27. Thank you for the corrrection. LOL, what’s up with thw 4th Tenor? I remember someone mentioning it at the contest, i was like what the heck, i got all these nick names with only 2 appearences incontests. Even George Shea called me Dominick the Destroyer, which i thought was weird. I did’t do to well in the last few minutes. Cheeks were over stuffed as i was trying stuff another brat with plenty of time left. Oh, well I know what to expect next time. I think i ate nearly 5 in the first minute, not so sure.

Great state of wisconsin, were you there?

Wow, if not for Joey’s 50 dog qualifier performance, Chip Simpson would own the US hot dog record right now. His performance is awesome! It’s 1.5 dogs more than than Sonya’s qualifying total.

Wouldn’t it be something if three or more US eaters did the double deuce July 4th? I know that Joey and Sonya will, and probably Chip and possibly Pat Pertoletti. Given the current state of affairs, all-in-all, examining the US and Japan, I can’t say that Japan is dominating the competition — just one man is, whose talent is in the stratosphere. But outside of Koby and Shirota, how many Japanese eaters have consumed 30 + hot dogs. None that I know of. How many Americans have? Six: Booker, Cookie, Sonya, Joey, Phenom, and Bertoletti, and in that chronological order of achievement.

And just looking at females, Sonya is light years ahead of anyone else. I think that if you gave Sonya a contest of ANY length, any type of food, she would likely eat double as much as any two female Japanese eaters. Select any two you want. And the longer the contest, the more Sonya would dominate.

I don’t think Sonya would ever admit this, but deep inside, I think she is just that confident.
