ESPN radio 1050 is sponsoring a lottery that will award a trip to Ireland. The winner will be chosen at the Stroehmann Sandwich Slamm corned beef contest a week from today. Entries (from NY, NJ or CT residents only) can be submitted until March 13.
2009 Pittsburgh Wing Madness (formerly WCS)
The website for 1250 ESPN in Pittsburgh has information about their 2009 wing eating contest, which is now called “Wing Madness” (Previous contests were called the “Wing Championship Series”) The first qualifier will take place at Strikers Sports Bar in Zelienople, PA on Tuesday, March 10 and the top two finishers will advance to the finals on April 17. The grand prize is a 3 night stay at the Nemacolin Woodlands Resort and a $1,000 resort gift card.

A "Rocky Mountain Oyster" eating contest awarding $100 will be held tomorrow at the Frozen Dead Guys Days Festival in Nederland, Colorado tomorrow.
A hot dog on a stick eating contest awarding $200 will be held tomorrow at the Redondo Beach Pier in California.
A spaghetti contest awarding $1000 to the winner will be held March 14 at the Italian Festival of Mississippi. The registration fee is $50.

The Boston (Cambridge) bacon eating contest held at Atwood's Tavern will take place this year on March 7 according to this livejournal entry.
The Munch Madness bar bites (small burgers) relay will return next month at Wood n Tap locations in Connecticut. The first qualifier will take place on March 24.
The purse for tomorrow's jalapeno eating contest will be $1,750.
