5 eating contests on Emeril Live

I was expecting only one eating contest at the end of tonight’s episode of Emeril Live, but there were five. Bob Shoudt, Tim Janus and Crazy Legs had a hot sauce eating contest, a po boy sandwich eating contest, a piri piri carne spart competition and a habanero sorbet eating contest. There was also a piri piri carne spart contest for audience members. The episode will reair at 3 am if you want to record it (it will also air at 8pm in the pacific time zone)

Humble Bob & Eater X to appear on Emeril Live

According to IFOCE’s writeup of the Baltimore crabcake contest, “Humble” Bob Shoudt and Tim “Eater X” Janus will appear on “Emeril Live” on the Food Network Sunday at 8 pm ET/PT. The episode, “Red Hot Kitchen”, will be repeated at 3 am ET/PT.

New InHD series

ifoce.com reports that a new series for InHD will be filmed starting on May 6 at a buffet in Islandia, NY. In the series, an individual eater will attempt to break an established mark. In the first episode, Don “Moses” Lerman will attempt to break Allan Goldstein’s bologna record of 2.41 pounds of bologna in 6 minutes.

The Rutgers University student paper reports that Christine Ma won a pizza eating contest by eating almost an entire pizza in an unspecified period of time.

Princeton U hot dog eating contest and column

The Princeton University student newspaper has a pro competitive eating column which promotes a hot dog eating contest to be held May 2. The column does not mention Kate Stelnick, the Princeton region’s most famous competitive eater, or the June 23 Nathan’s qualifier in greater Princeton (Molly Pitcher Travel Plaza) in which Charles Hardy Jr. will make his debut.

Eat This Book party May 3

Tokyo hamburger gallery

Nobuyuki Shirota has some pictures of last Saturday’s hamburger contest in Tokyo on his blog. Shirota won the men’s contest and Natsuko “The Gal” Sone won the women’s contest. The hamburgers were from McDonald’s and “picnic style” rules were apparently in effect.

Opie & Anthony (& Pat from Moonachie) to be simulcast on free radio

The Opie & Anthony (& Pat Philbin) radio show will be simulcast on free radio in seven (mainly northeastern) markets from 6am to 9am eastern starting Wednesday, April 26, replacing David Lee Roth’s talk show. The duo will air two uncensored hours solely on the XM satellite network from 9 to 11.
