Janus’ last contest was the Brooklyn cannoli eating contest in October. According to the official account of that event, he received second place after he claimed he was credited with an extra plate after tying Badlands Booker. (Interestingly, the Brookly Daily’s account makes no mention of that deduction and claims the margin was .75 cannolis.)

Geoff Esper ate 29.5 hot weiners in 15 minutes to win the first prize of $500 in today's contest at Olneyville New York System in Cranson, RI.
Geoff Esper became the first person to finish the Bearwich challenge at Bear's Smokehouse and claim the $500 prize.
