Tuscon Citizen reports that Lindy's on 4th, famous for its 3 pound OMG burgers, will appear on tonight's episode of Meat and Potatoes on the Food Network (10 pm eastern)

Lumpy’s Diner article #3 most emailed on Yahoo News!

The Contra Costa Times article about the Outrageous Food segment recorded at Lumpy’s Diner in Antioch was picked up by Yahoo! News and is currently the third most emailed article in all of Yahoo News. (A screen capture is available after the jump.)

The video produced by Jessica “Queen of Cuisine” about her Intimidator challenge attempt at Lumpy’s was embedded in the article, and currently has over 18,000 views. She has also produced a new video about her Sugar OD challenges in Tucson.

“Cardboard Shell” finishes 3 pound burger in 6 minutes

“Cardboard Shell” (a petite woman) has posted a blog entry about her completion of the three pound burger at Lobby’s in Tempe, Arizona at a contest held by the College Times. Her time of 6 minutes set an overall record for the restaurant. The College Times facebook has a gallery of the event.

“Cardboard Shell” also had Lindy’s on 4th in Tuscon create a special version of their “OMFG” 3 pound burger having grilled cheese sandwiches for buns and onion rings as a topping for each patty, which she was able to finish in the time limit of 20 minutes.

New Travel Channel companion series to Man vs. Food

TucsonCitizen has information about a new Travel Channel program that will record on January 29 & 30:

There is now a new series in the works that will be a companion to Man V Food, and they are coming to Tucson to prove if El Guero Canelo really does have the best Sonoran dog in Tucson.

They are welcoming fans to the shoots where they will conduct interviews and then feature the ultimate Superfan on the show. They will also be pitting El Guero Canelo Vs a challenger.

Jalapeno popper writeup
