The Vegan Chicago meetup.com page has no plans to disrupt today's eating contest at the Chicago Ribfest. Last year, they announced their intention to crash the competition on the website.
Registration is now open for the eating contest at the Chicago Ribfest on June 9. A donut eating contest in Santa Monica on June 2 has also been added to the MLE calendar (registration yet to open).

Chicago Ribfest disruption plans changed
Meetup.com still has a post from Vegan Chicago about their plans to disrupt and “shut down” Friday’s eating contest at Ribfest Chicago. They have changed their assembly site from a restaurant to John C. Coonley Elementary School. 16 people have said they are going. 
Miki Sudo, Michelle Lesco, Adrian Morgan, Juan Rodriguez, Erik Denmark, Gideon Oji, Andrew Kogutkiewicz and the winner of a qualifier Thursday at Rocks Northcenter are expected at the Chicago Ribfest June 10.
Heinkel's Hot Dog Eating Contest will award $500/$250/$100 in Decatur, IL on August 6. Qualifiers will be held in June and July.

The Chicago Tribune has a report on yesterday's pizza eating contest at Aurelio's between three pro lumberjacks and Pat Bertolleti which spells his last name as "Bertolettio" 6 times.
