Mamma Jammer's will hold a cheesesteak sandwich eating contest in downtown Scranton on Saturday awarding $500 to the winner.
Rock Bottom in Homestead, PA will hold a "Wings of Fire" eating contest on March 11 awarding a 46 inch TV and a Blue Ray player.
Registration for the cheesesteak eating contest at Dorney Park in Allentown, PA on May 19 will open tomorrow on IFOCE.com at 11 am eastern.
Almanac.net reports that Brian Subich will MC a pierogi eating contest at the Men's Culinary Classic in Meadowlands, PA on March 10. Bob Kuhns and Brad Sciullo are expected to compete.
ESPNLV.com (Lehigh Valley) announces 2012 Munch Madness. The first qualifier will take place at Roosevelt's 21st in Allentown, PA. The finals on April 1 will award up to $500 in prizes. (via Nick email)

The Duquesne student paper has an article about Amanda Corturillo winning a giant banana split eating contest held as the first Student vs. Food Challenge. It does not appear she finished the dessert according to a gallery of the contest.
Limerick.Patch.com has an article about Rick "The Manager" Russo serving as Stephanie Torres' manager. Russo had an Angry Birds themed float and Notorious Bob Shoudt was a member of his entourage. Shoudt will appear on a segment on 6ABC tonight about Philadelphia area competitive eaters.
