One copy of the philly.com article about the Wing Bowl by Faye Flam from January still lists Ed "Cookie" Jarvis as the subject of Dr. David Metz' study of competitive eating. Tim Janus was the actual subject (Another copy has been corrected) update Feb 18 Philly.com has a correction notice.

MyFoxPhilly has an article about Bill "El Wingador" Simmons retirement announcement on WIP earlier today. Simmons also said he thought Takeru Kobayashi would beat Joey Chestnut in a wing eating contest due to superior technique.

Limerick.Patch.com has an article about Rick "The Manager" Russo serving as Stephanie Torres' manager. Russo had an Angry Birds themed float and Notorious Bob Shoudt was a member of his entourage. Shoudt will appear on a segment on 6ABC tonight about Philadelphia area competitive eaters.

CBS Philly has a preview of the Wing Bowl focusing on Takeru Kobayashi, Bill "El Wingador" Simmons and Jon Squibb describing the three "in tremendous physical shape, like highly tuned athletes". The falsehood that Kobayashi has never competed in a wing eating contest is repeated.
Sweeney's Pub in Marcus Hook, PA will hold a women-only Wing Bowl tomorrow.

PJ Whelihan's in Turnersville, NJ will hold a Wing Off qualifier for Wing Bowl 20 on December 15. The only other Wing Off on the calendar takes place at PJ Whelihan's in Downington, PA on January 5.
