Youtube has a video of Stephanie Torres eating the challenge burger at Woodside Bar & Grill in Johnstown, PA in 8:55. 40 minutes earlier, she ate the restaurant's spicy burger challenge.

The first episode of the second season of Outrageous Food will be televised on the Food Network tonight at 10 pm eastern. The restaurants will be Mallie’s Sports Grill and Bar in Southgate, MI (meal 100+ pound burger), Bad Boyz Bistro in Bedford, PA (meal hot wings) and Three Brothers Bakery in Houston, TX (meal pies baked into cakes). "Casting calls" for hot wing eaters on two upcoming episodes of "Outrageous Food" have been posted: Badboyz Bistro in Bedford, Pennsylvania needs five people (3 men and 2 women) to eat its "Hellraiser" wings on January 3 and Rock Rest in Golden, CO is looking for hot wing eaters for recording sessions on January 9 and 13.
The Daily Mail reports that a greenhouse in Cumbria, England has developed the Naga Viper pepper by crossing three spicy peppers. The pepper has a Scoville rating of 1,359,000 and can reportedly strip paint.

Nitally's Thai-Mex Cuisine in St. Petersburg, FL has a ghost pepper soup challenge that awards $150 if the soup is finished in under 30 minutes.
Zach Fowle has a blog entry for the Phoenix New Times about tying for first place in at the Arizona Taco Festival Hot Chili Pepper Eating contest. Competitors ate ghost chili peppers in the final two rounds of the contest.
