Fox 59 has a video of a contest held this morning to promote tonight's Hooters wing eating qualifier in Indianapolis. Tim "Gravy" Brown, Crazy Legs Conti and Aaron Osthoff are expected to compete.
Stephanie Torres is expected to compete in the Wakefield Sandwich Company World Chicken Salad Sandwich Eating Championship in Michigan City, Indiana on April 27. The field already included Eric Dahl, Will Millender and Chris Abatsas.
The next qualifiers in the Hooters Wing Circuit will take place in Indianapolis on April 18 (first Hoosier state IFOCE contest since 2006 Indiana State Fair) and at the Real Texas Festival in Mesquite, TX (east Dallas area) on April 28. update Registration for the Indianapolis qualifier will open today at 4pm. The Chicago Tribune reports that Notre Dame quarterback Dayne Crist completed the one pound King Burger at the Oaken Bucket in South Bend, Indiana and was disappointed in the lack of an award for finishing the challenge. Crist also ate a gallon of ice cream in 30 minutes.
