SoraNews24.com reports that Japanese competitive eater Max Suzuki has partnered with the Daisho Group to start a restaurant chain called Max Suzuki's Seabura Hanten. The locations will mainly deliver via Uber Eats but some sites will also offer carry-out orders. Youtube currently has the full program of TV Tokyo’s “King of Gluttony” program in which Miki Sudo, Darron Breeden, Max Suzuki, Angela Sato, Hatsuyo Sugawara and others competed. (I will not post any spoilers until later today). Update Results of the final round are in the comments. Takeru Kobayashi and Nobuyuki Shirota appear as commentators, but do not compete.

Max Suzuki ate 451 bowls of noodles in 10 minutes to set a contest record at the all Japan wanko soba championship in Morioka, Japan. The typical contest duration is 15 minutes, but he was given a 5 minute handicap due to being a professional. November 18, 2019 at 7:45 am by

Last month in Las Vegas, Max Suzuki set a record for the top debut in a 10 minute contest, exceeded only by Takeru Kobayashi in 2001, who had two minutes longer. (previous list from 2016)

Tom Gilbert is expected to be the primary threat to Max Suzuki. This will be his first MLE contest since the 2013 Las Vegas Nathan’s qualifer. His total of 31 was the highest non-winning total on the 2012-13 circuit, but he did not receive the wild card spot in the finals which went to Erik Denmark.
