Phil's Last Stand announces that Jamie McDonald won $1000 after he was the first person to finish it's Po Boy sandwich challenge. The prize was raised to $1000 on June 15.
Redeye Chicago has an article about the "Gluttony Tour" where Pat Bertoletti and Tim "Gravy" Brown will attempt to complete four Chicago-area eating challenges in less than 48 hours starting June 29. Additional challengers are welcome; a donation of $250 will be made to the Chicago Food Bank if someone else beats their time on the tour.
Bartolini's in Midlothian, IL will hold its annual meatball eating contest on July 22. The winner will receive $2500 and the total purse is over $6000.

Dahl.com has a video of last night’s amateur qualifier for the Chicago Ribfest won by Paul Zwerican, who will compete in the professional contest tonight with Pat Bertoletti, Tim Brown, Adrian Morgan, Erik Denmark, Crazy Legs Conti, Matt Raible and Eric Hucke.
