Steamy Kitchen, MSG Food Blog and Blast Magazine have reports on the eating contests held at the New York City Dumpling Festival last Saturday. A video of the women's contest is also available.

The contest is expected to start at 2pm eastern. Crazy Legs Conti, in his first contest since the Nathan’s finals, will attempt to defend his title. Sean “Flash” Gordon, Dave “US Male” Goldstein and Larell Marie Mele are also expected to compete. Ed “Cookie” Jarvis will serve as a judge.

The Cream Cheese Festival in Lowville, NY (Syracuse area) will hold an eating contest awarding $350 ($200 to the winner) for two person teams on Saturday. One person will prepare the food, the other will consume it.
Daurizio's FatBoy Style Pizza & Catering in Schenectady, NY has a Fat Boy challenge that will award $500 to a two person team that can finish a Fat Boy Pizza, 20 wings, and orders of Garlic and Cinni Knots in under an hour.

Registration for Thursday's cannoli eating contest at the Festa di San Gennaro will open at 11am eastern today.
Kalbi vs. Naan has a report by the top amateur (3rd overall) in the pancake eating contest at Jo's in New York City on Labor Day. The two unnamed pros ate 35 and 25 pancakes to claim the top two spots.
