A press release lists the prizes to be payed out at Dickey's Barbecue eating contest in Dallas on October 18: $500 / $250 / $150 / $50. Qualifiers will be held Friday in Plano, TX and in Pleasanton, CA and Meridian, Idaho on Saturday.

The four Dallas area locations of Burguesa Burger will hold burger eating contests on September 17 awarding a 19 inch TV with a built in DVD player.
A press release announces that Dickey's Barbecue will hold a pork sandwich eating contest in Dallas on October 18. Five qualifiers for the contest will be held; the first will take place in Raleigh, NC on September 15.
