Woody's Chicago Style will hold a foot long eating contest at the Brighton (Denver area) Culture Fest June 6. The top prize will be a trip to Hawaii according to craigslist.

WLOCE will have a doughnut eating contest in Bangalore, India on May 16 that will award 35,000 Indian rupees to the winner. The WLOCE idli contest, originally set for May 16, does not currently have a set date.

Houston gyros entrants listed before registration opens
IFOCE.com reports the 2009 Niko Niko’s World Gryo-Eating Championship will be held on May 16 in Houston and registration will begin today at 3pm eastern. The contest page already lists four expected entrants (Joey Chestnut, Pat Bertoletti, Bob Shoudt, Erik Denmark) even though registration has not officially opened.

WLOCE announces Bangalore idli contest May 16
The WLOCE website has been updated to announce that an idli contest will take place in Bangalore, India on May 16. WLOCE will also sanction the July 4 Apple Ugly Eating contest in North Carolina and the purse for its contest at Corndogorama will be $875.

Jake’s Burger (Delaware) contest to return

The event is going to be bigger and better this year.
Grand Prize is $2,000 2nd Prize is $1,000 and 3rd Prize is $500. We have also added a prize to the qualifying rounds of $100 for each location. There may be some trips involved for the winners too. There will be at least 8 qualifiers.
The final is on Friday night July 31st. At the Wilmington Blue Rocks after the game, but before the fireworks. That will leave about 5,000 people to watch the finals. Qualifying dates to be finalized soon.
