Pie Wood Fired Pizza in Barrie, Ontario announced Let em Eat 4. Takeru Kobayashi, Pat Bertoletti and Jamie McDonald are expected to compete in the pizza eating contest. update September 17 The facebook event page announces that the contest will take place on October 6 and award $4500 ($3000 to the winner). Entrants will need to qualify and the top 11 will receive spots.
The Bradford (Ontario) Ribfest will hold a rib eating contest on September 21 awarding a 32 inch TV.
Takeru Kobayashi appears in a video promoting ChompChompChomp.ca, a contest for Canadian college students. Entrants will submit videos and five finalists will be chosen to compete in Toronto on October 28. The winner will receive $5000 in cash and $20000 in prizes for his/her school.
Registration will open tomorrow at noon for Smoke's Poutinerie eating contest in Toronto on October 19.

A documentary will be produced about a road trip to Toronto for tomorrow's poutine eating contest will star Micah Collins, Larell Marie Mele, Bill Myers and Bob Shoudt. (This will not be the first project about a voyage to Yonge Street (site of the contest) to seek fortune; an SCTV sketch from 1982 Garth and Gord and Fiona and Alice has the same subject.)

In addition to Takeru Kobayashi and "Furious" Pete Czerwinski, Jamie McDonald, Stephanie Torres (billed as the #2 female competitive eater in the world) and 680 pound sumo wrestler Manny Yarborough are also listed as expected entrants.
Pie in Barrie, ON will hold its pizza eating contest on September 16 awarding $5000 to the winner. Takeru Kobayashi is expected to defend his title and Manny Yarbrough, billed as the world's largest athlete, is another entrant. Competitors will need to qualify by eating a whole pizza.
