Stanford has been announced as the winner of the 2013 Beef Bowl, outeating Michigan State by 15 pounds of prime rib at Lawry’s in Beverly Hills. Patch.com has a history of the pre-Rose Bowl event, which was called the Beef Scrimmage from 1970 to 1972. Michigan State lost despite having a twitter devoted to its “Meat Squad”.

"LA Beast" is listed, so apparently he has decided to unretire after announcing competitive eating was too small an arean for his talents on July 4.
