Thomas Wong reports that Miki Sudo won a Quadruple Bypass Burger eating contest held at the Heart Attack Grill in Las Vegas today. update Sept 26 LightSwitchStudios has a blog entry about the contest report Miki's time for the burger was 3:39. This beats Jed Donahue's time of 3:55, but is short of Joey Chestnut's time of 1:47.
The Heart Attack Grill in Las Vegas will hold a Quadruple Bypass Burger eating contest for three amateurs on September 24 that will appear on national television.
The Village Pub in Las Vegas has a gallery of last Saturday's rib eating contest where Miki Sudo won $1,299.

Miki Sudo announces she won the rib eating contest held at the Village Pub in Las Vegas and received a prize of $1,299. Tom Gilbert was the runner-up. The event was her first ever head-to-head eating competition.
Rich LeFevre was one of two competitors in the August 4 Village Pub rib eating qualifier to advance to the finals on August 25.
The Village Pub facebook has more information about the rib eating contest that will be held in Las Vegas in August. Qualifiers on August 4, 11 and 18 will advance the top two to the finals on August 25 that will award $2198 ($1299 to the winner). The contest is restricted to Nevada residents.

Village Pub locations in Las Vegas are holding a rib eating contest in August awarding $2198 ($1299 to the winner). Presumably qualifiers will be held on August 4/11/18 and the finals on August 25, but that is not explicitly stated.

Andrew Lane reports that Tom Gilbert won a hot dog eating contest held at Ellis Island Casino in Las Vegas last night with a total of 32 hot dogs.
The Las Vegas Review Journal covered Rich LeFevre becoming the first person to finish the eight pound burger challenge at The Pub in the Monte Carlo in an article about southern Nevada eating challenges. The article mentions Naader Reda's completion of the 12 pound nacho challenge at Cabo Wabo, but does not give his name.

Miki Sudo would probably be the top local female in tomorrow's Las Vegas Nathan's qualifier if she competes. The Las Vegas Sun has a list of six Nevada eating challenges, mentioning her as the recipient of a $1,510 payout after finishing the challenge at Pho 87 in December. She is not the first person to finish the challenge; Naader Reda, Matt Stonie and Stephanie Torres completed it, but had difficulty receiving payment due to an unlisted ban on "professionals." The Las Vegas Sun has a preview of tomorrow's Nathan's qualifier containing quotes from Rich LeFevre, who will not be competing in the contest.
Juan "More Bite" Rodriguez appeared on KTNV this morning to promote Saturday's Nathan's qualifier at New York New York. He said that Sean Gordon and Juliet Lee are expected to compete in the qualifier.
Registration will open tomorrow for a May 19 hot dog eating contest at Ellis Island Casino in Las Vegas. The contest will award $500/$250/$100 and a bikini competition will also be held at the event. update April 20 A page about the contest is available. Qualifiers will take place on May 2, 9 and 16.
