This will be the first MLE non-qualifier in the Carolinas, Georgia or Virginia since a funnel cake eating contest at Kings Dominion in Virginia in 2009. Registration is also open for the Nugget World Rib-Eating Championship in Sparks, NV on August 31.
Reno.craigslist.org has a request for competitive eaters to attempt food challenges in sessions on September 6, 7 and 8. The casting call claims that the biggest names in MLE will participate in the project. The filming site is not mentioned, presumably it will be in north Nevada.
