Miki’s official total seems to be 38. The gambling over/under for winning total was 37.5, so anyone who bet the under is probably rather upset.
I have not been able to find list of which qualifiers are actually present in Brooklyn. Dee Martin is in Atlanta, so she will not bbe competing.

Coneypedia posted a picture of actress Thelma Pelish from a 1958 newspaper. The caption says she ate 25 hot dogs at Charcoal Dan's in Coney Island, beating Babe Ruth's hot dog record of 24. (I think 25 hot dogs would remain the American female record for a Coney Island contest for the rest of the 20th century.(IMDB page)
In a facebook chat for the NY Daily News, Joey Chestnut mentioned the possibility of a competition against Takeru Kobayashi and said Major League Eating has agreed to the event. (direct link to comment). Nathan's President and COO Wayne Norbitz said that talks were underway but nothing definite has been planned. George Shea had no comment about the matchup.
Takeru Kobayashi has announced his July 4 event for 2015: he will attempt to set a record for eating hot dogs while playing ping pong at SPiN in New York City.
Observer.com reports Mayor de Blasio will leave tomorrow for a vacation in the western United States. This will make the traditional weigh-in of the Nathan's finalists at City Hall the first I can remember. update The weigh-in will take place at the Brooklyn Borough Hall.
Charity Buzz has two 2015 Nathan's judgeships up for auction. The current top bid is $750 and bidding closes July 1.
ESPN SportsCenter will be broadcast from Coney Island the morning of July 4 on ESPN2 to promote the Nathan's finals.
Nela Zisser is not the only pageant winner with competitive eating credentials. New Miss Rhode Island Alexandra Curtis won a wing eating contest when she was at Syracuse University. According to a 2012 interview, she was wearing a Hilary Clinton Halloween costume when she won the competition.

The favorites are Meredith Boxberger and Tim Janus, who says he has not eaten a hot dog since the 2014 Nathan’s finals.
Janus’ last contest was the Brooklyn cannoli eating contest in October. According to the official account of that event, he received second place after he claimed he was credited with an extra plate after tying Badlands Booker. (Interestingly, the Brookly Daily’s account makes no mention of that deduction and claims the margin was .75 cannolis.)
