Mugshots will hold a burger eating contest in Covington, LA awarding $5000 to the winner. Qualifiers awarding $1000 will be held in Birmingham on June 5 and Vestavia Hills, AL on June 19.
Jubilee Joe's Crawfish Boil will hold a crawfish eating contest in Pelham, AL on April 23 awarding $500 to the winner.
The Tuscaloosa Krispy Kreme Challenge near the University of Alabama will take place on Saturday and award a total of $1600 ($400 to the top male & female). Entrants will run a mile, eat a dozen doughnuts, then run a mile to return to the start.
AL.com has an article about 116 year old Susannah Mushatt Jones, who is the considered the world's oldest person. Her family credits her longevity to her big appetite and her caretaker thinks she would do well in a rib eating contest.

Wintzell’s Oyster House is sponsoring the contest. Presumably reversals in tonight’s contest will result in a disqualification unlike in Wintzells house record.

The Foodabluza facebook announces that Pat Bertoletti and Sonya Thomas will be competing at its eating contests on April 26 and 27 in Altmore, AL and will pay $10,000 to a competitor that defeats them (There is no information about who is eligible to receive the bonus). The festival will also hold oyster and taco contests for amateurs on those days awarding $750 ($500 to the winner).
Registration for the oyster eating contest (April 26) and taco eating contest (April 27) at Foodabluza at Wind Creek Casino & Hotel in Atmore, AL will open today at 4 pm central / 5 eastern on ifoce.com. Both contests will award $5000.

The National Pro-Am Pecan Pie Eating Championship will be held in Birmingham, Alabama on May 12. Eric "Silo" Dahl will be the pro, and he is billed as the "#1 ranked profesional eater" (without any qualifications).
