According to a video by Team Subject to Change, Dave Brunelli was the top male at the New York City Dumpling Festival eating contest with 75. Wayne Algenio announced he was 3rd. The women’s totals are not included in the video. In a picture of the prize winners at the 5:13 mark, Molly Schuyler is holding a trophy and Stephanie Torres also appears to be a prize winner. update Oct 20 Results have been added to the MLE.com contest page. The official explanation is that Tim Janus noticed he was credited with an extra plate after the contest. The Brooklyn Daily (giving the top 2 totals as 27 & 26.25) and Home Reporter News have contest reports.

update Sept 3 The festival facebook has more results with the interesting exception of the MLE wing contest.

update Sept 2 The festival facebook has a larger picture of Joey holding the results sheet which appears to list Joey Chestnut’s weight as 6.02 pounds. This is well below the his winning total of 7.61 pounds two years ago which would make Sunday’s contest a non-record.

CW23 has an article and interview and with Michelle Lesco, confirming she got third place

Bufalo News reports that Joey’s weight was approximately 6 pounds, less than his winning total of 7.61 lbs. in 2012.
