MN Guy Expo wing winner admits cheating

In MetroMag.com, Scott Schneweis describes the techniques which resulted in him being named the winner of the wing eating contest at the Guy Expo in St. Paul, Minnesota:

Desperate and miserable, I picked up a wing with my left hand and slid it into the side of Todd’s tray while I ate another one with my right hand. He laughed, sending chicken wing bits flying. Then he grabbed my chicken wing and put it in on the top of his pile. Chewing, we looked around. No one seemed the wiser.

Realizing what was at stake, Todd started making weird eating noises and talking to the crowd and the judge with his mouth full. It wasn’t a pretty sight, but he was distracting the crowd. I slid him four more chicken wings.

Big Berlin burger banished

The website for The Bird in Berlin, Germany announces the termination of its Big Bird burger challenge:

You see the Big Bird could no longer live in a society with people disgusting enough to order it. We tried everything. We threatened to raise the price again to discourage its consumption. But it argued that there would still be people gluttonous enough to make asses of themselves no matter what the price.

Calling your customers “disgusting” and “asses” is probably not the optimal way to obtain repeat business.
