Frank Ferraigne reports that Takeru Kobayashi repeated as the winner of the contest held at Pie Wood Fired Pizza in Barrie, Ontario with a total of 43 slices in 12 minutes. Aylan Couchie has some twitpics of the contest, which was held while it was raining. update “Furious” Pete Czerwinski ate 25 slices, 4 less than he ate in 2010.

St. Louis Wings will hold wing eating contests at 8 Toronto area locations on July 18 and Wings Pub in Burnaby, British Columbia will hold a wing eating contest on July 21 awarding an Ipad 2 and a flat screen TV (prizes might be for best costume.)

Torontoist has a blog entry about "Furious" Pete Czerwinski's attempt to eat 15 pounds of poutine on the Dean Blundell Show this morning. Pete ate about 10 pounds before receiving assistance. A video of the stunt is also available. Smoke's Poutinerie, which held a MLE poutine contest earlier this year, was the sponsor of the stunt.
Kobayashi has updated his blog with a report about winning the pizza eating contest at Pie in Barrie, Ontario. Kobayashi might be recording a program at Madison Square Park in Manhattan tomorrow.
