DNAInfo has a preview of Sunday's kimchi eating contest in Chicago including a video interview with Miki Sudo where she calls Joey Chestnut and Matt Stonie her main rivals. update 7:16 central Miki Sudo reportedly won the contest. (7:24) Miki’s victory is confirmed, this is the second upset in a row at the Chicago Ribfest after Tim Brown defeated Pat Bertoletti last year.

The Chicago Tribune has an interview with Joey Chestnut about competing in Chicago Ribfest's eating contest Friday. Joey says he intends to retire from competitive eating in two years.
Ribfest Chicago announces that Erik Denmark will be the only returning pro competitor from its 2012 eating contest, which might be a record for year to year turnover. A full list of 2013 competitors is available on the festival website.
DNAInfo reports that Joey Chestnut, Bob Shoudt, Miki Sudo, Eric Denmark, Michelle Lesco and Juan Rodriguez are expected to compete at Ribfest Chicago on June 7.
