(via tradocaj) UWishUNu reports that a Tony Luke's cheesesteak sandwich eating contest requiring competitors to wear boxing gloves will be held in Philadelphia on Sunday as part of the "Parade of 1,000 Rockys".
LiveNation has a list of four Adam Richman speaking engagements next month: Dallas (Dec 1), Houston (Dec 2), Anaheim (Dec 15) and Los Angeles (Dec 16). OCWeekly has a description of the contents of the talk.

PastThePages.ca has a column about competitive eating in which “Notorious” Bob Shoudt describes his exercise regimen:

“To date I have managed to work my way into being ranked number three in the world without having to train,” said Shoudt.
“Though, I am very active in my personal life. I routinely do a thousand crunches a day and I train three days per week in Krav Maga, a tactical defense martial art. I am also an avid mountain climber.”

Shoudt mentioned practising with the Big Angus burger in an interview on the Krystal Square Off blog.

The new poll asks who you think will be allowed to compete in the 2010 Wing Bowl.
The Milford Daily reports that Gretchen Vogel won a hot wing eating contest at Jake's Dixie Roadhouse in Waltham, Massachusetts which culminated with a 750,000 scoville unit sauce.

The Roy Rogers twitter announces that Sonya Thomas and Crazy Legs Conti will compete in the November 14 roast beef slider eating contest. "Notorious" Bob Shoudt and Pat Philbin are other expected entrants.
"Furious" Pete Czerwinski has uploaded his appearance on the Canadian program The TV Made Me Do It which includes the contest between teams from the United States and Canada. Furious Pete shirts will be available for purchase next week.
The Emory Wheel has an interview with the manager of Big Pie in the Sky Pizza about its Carnivore Challege who says that the most recent pair to complete the challenge (who are not yet listed on the online wall of fame) included a female who wants to start a "Woman vs. Food" show.

Atlanta eating challenge website

Juliet and Floria and not the only big-eating Lees on the east coast. Grace Lee has an Atlanta restaurant website at AtlantaGSpots.com containing an eating challenge page with the following description:

Stay tuned as Grace and her unbelievable appetite take on new challenges every month. She’s challenging Atlanta to out-eat her and, at 5’2″ and 110lbs, she’s setting records, beating men twice her size, and tearing up the city!

There are videos of two eating challenges: setting the record at Varasano’s Pizzeria by eating 30 slices and a wing challenge where Grace ate 60 wings.
