This could be the final matchup between Joey Chestnut and Geoff Esper in 2019. On November 2, Joey Chestnut is expected to compete in a brisket eating contest in Austin while Geoff Esper defends his Indian taco title at Fortune Bay in Tower, MN.

Mohammed Hamoud won the first prize of $2500 in yesterday's Bacci Pizza Jumbo Slice eating contest in Chicago.
Dan Kennedy annouced he ate 20 burgers to win the first prize of $1000 in yesterday's eating contest at Lumpy's Burgers in Antioch, CA. Edward Chin was the runner up and Scott Rubin was 3rd. Previous winners were not allowed to received the first prize money, which prevented Molly Schuyler from defending her title.
On Friday, Raina Huang won the dumpling eating contest at the Dumpling and Beer Festival in San Gabriel, CA for the third year in a row. Taran Eckel was runner up.
Pete Davekos ate 9 1/4 lb. hot dogs in 7 minutes to win the first prize of $201 in yesterday's hot dog eating contest in Topsfield, MA.

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio emceed the meatball eating contest at the Feast of San Gennaro on Saturday after terminating his presidential campaign. He oversaw the traditional weigh-in for Nathan's finalists at City Hall his inaugural year of 2014, but has not been involved in that event since then. Scott Hirsch ate 34 meatball in 6 minutes to win the contest.
