Joe Menchetti won Helmbold's hot dog eating contest at last night's Tri City Valley Cats game in Troy, NY.
A press release announces that "Furious" Pete Czerwinski and "Gentleman" Joe Menchetti will return to the “Big A Burger Challenge Championship†at the NC Pickle Festival in Mount Olive, NC on April 27. The contest will award $2000 (total purse $3500) to the fastest finisher of a 50 ounce burger, fries and 24 ounce drink.
Joe Menchetti won the $500 first prize at Pub 46 in Clifton, NJ by eating 25 wings in under 2 minutes.
