In Saturday’s contest, Joey Chestnut’s total of 85 Twinkies comprised 71% of winner Matt Stonie’s amount (120). According to the eatfeats database, this is the biggest percentage margin of defeat for Joey Chestnut since 2005 with the exception of a 2010 Mars Bar eating invitational. update Sept 2 The festival facebook has a larger picture of Joey holding the results sheet which appears to list Joey Chestnut’s weight as 6.02 pounds. This is well below the his winning total of 7.61 pounds two years ago which would make Sunday’s contest a non-record.
