Before tonight, the pizzeria was probably most famous for its 36 and 54 inch pizza challenges. update March 3 In 2010 Eva Longoria personally delivered a 36 inch pizza from Big Mama's & Papa's update #2 People.com has an article about the delivery. Great-Taste.net reports that Kristin Avery ate 42 Pancakes in 25 minutes to win the IHOP Pancake Bowl for the Los Angeles region. The contest went into overtime after she tied with Naader Reda and another competitor by eating 31 pancakes in 20 minutes. (picture)

Stanford has been announced as the winner of the 2013 Beef Bowl, outeating Michigan State by 15 pounds of prime rib at Lawry’s in Beverly Hills. Patch.com has a history of the pre-Rose Bowl event, which was called the Beef Scrimmage from 1970 to 1972. Michigan State lost despite having a twitter devoted to its “Meat Squad”.
