Taco Bus has extended its qualification period for the El Jefe Burrito Eating Championship until April 4. The contest on April 5 in Tampa will award $2500/$1000/$500.
Eric "Badlands" Booker announces that he will compete in the Nathan's qualifier at the Marlins ballpark on Saturday. Unlike last year's qualifier in Miami, the competition will be held outside the stadium before the game, so there might be the possibility for walk-on entrants which could avoid an all-male field like the 2017 qualifier had.

George Shea did an interview on the Hochman and Crowder show in CBS Miami this afternoon and announced Geoff Esper, Darron Breeden and Badlands Booker as expected entrants in Sunday's World Championship Croqueta Eating Contest on Sunday.
Foodbeast.com has a writeup of an interview Adam Richman did with Mike Chen of Strictly Dumpling. The former Man v. Food host claims that Munchies in Sarasota, FL put an entire bottle of ghost chili extract into its 420 hot wings challenge, which made breathing difficult.
Orlando Food Guys have an Instagram video of Joey Chestnut finishing the challenge burger in 40 seconds at Beth's Burger Bar while he was in Orlando for the World Chili Eating Challenge.

Pelican Larry's in Naples, FL will hold a hot dog eating contest on February 24 and a wing eating contest on February 25. Both competitions will award $200 to the winner.
