WNEP.com reports that David Brunelli won the burger eating contest held at Kildare's in Scranton and will compete with winners of contests held at other Kildare's locations to appear on an upcoming episode of Man vs. Food.
The facebook for the Bar Louie in Wilkes-Barre, PA announces that Russ Keeler won the Rock the Tot eating contest held at that location with a total of 3 pounds and 6.5 ounces of tater tots.
The Double Wide Grill in Pittsburgh will hold a tofu eating contest on May 23. Both the men's and women's divisions will award $150 to the winner.
Kildare's Irish Pub in State College, PA will hold a burger eating contest on April 26 that will reportedly give the winner the opportunity to appear on an upcoming episode of Man vs. Food.
The first episode of the second season of Outrageous Food will be televised on the Food Network tonight at 10 pm eastern. The restaurants will be Mallie’s Sports Grill and Bar in Southgate, MI (meal 100+ pound burger), Bad Boyz Bistro in Bedford, PA (meal hot wings) and Three Brothers Bakery in Houston, TX (meal pies baked into cakes). Qdobas in Milwaukee and Pittsburgh will hold burrito eating contests on February 5. The times from the two contests will be compared and the overall winner will receive a flat screen TV.
A podcast of Takeru Kobayashi's appearance on 610 WIP this morning is available. Kobayashi talked about appearing (but not competing in) Wing Bowl 19 and oversaw the in-studio Wing Off won by Jason "The Shocker" Hall.
