update 2:10 Thomas V Marino has a picture of a victorious Joey Chestnut. Bob Shoudt was apparently the runner-up. Marino also has a picture of Badlands Booker competing in the contest despite being announced as a participant in the Patriots Place Nathan’s qualifier.
The contest should start at 1:30 pm eastern.

The Morning Call and Philly.com (via email) have previews of Saturday's cheesesteak eating contest at Dorney Park in Allentown, PA.
Chickie's & Pete's, site of the Wing Bowl weigh-ins, will hold a pizza eating contest for charity on May 21 awarding $1000 (or a Bermuda cruise) to the winner and $500 to the runner up. Entrants will need to raise $500 in ticket sales or donations.

Kildare's Irish Pub in State College, PA will hold a burger eating contest on April 26 that will reportedly give the winner the opportunity to appear on an upcoming episode of Man vs. Food.
The first episode of the second season of Outrageous Food will be televised on the Food Network tonight at 10 pm eastern. The restaurants will be Mallie’s Sports Grill and Bar in Southgate, MI (meal 100+ pound burger), Bad Boyz Bistro in Bedford, PA (meal hot wings) and Three Brothers Bakery in Houston, TX (meal pies baked into cakes).
