With the removal of the Lewisville, TX tamale contest, scheduled for September, there are currently no upcoming contests with a date on the MLE calendar. (Smoke's Poutinerie contest remains listed without a date). The Colorado State Fair will be scaled back, so a Slopper eating contest appears unlikely.

Baltimore Ravens center Bradley Bozeman completed the Big Texan 72 ounce steak in about 50 minutes, which I think makes him the second active NFL player to have completed the Amarillo, TX challenge after Dolphins QB Ryan Fitzpatrick. The stop was part of a 6 week cross-country tour to promote anti-bullying efforts.
Slacker's in San Antonio will hold a hot wing eating contest tomorrow awarding $300 to the winner, $100 to the runner up.

The January 27 episode of 9-1-1: Lone Star will have an emergency at a steak eating contest. The original 9-1-1 set in Los Angeles had a crisis at an insect eating contest on its October 22, 2018 show. This is not the first steak eating contest incident on a Fox program. The March 28, 1999 episode of the Simpsons (Maximum Homerdrive) had a fatality after a steak challenge went wrong.
The pro division of the La Costeña Jalapeño Eating Contest February 22 in Laredo, TX will award $3000/$1500/$750. The amateur competition will pay out $500/$400/$300.
Michelle "Cardboard Shell" Lesco completed the 72 ounce steak meal at the Big Texan in Amarillo, TX in 21:13, which I think is the fastest time for a female excluding Molly Schuyler's results.

Registration is now open on majorleagueeating.com for the True Texas BBQ Challenge at Circuit of the Americas in Austin on November 2. Registration is also open for the Fortune Bay World Indian Taco Eating Championship in Tower, MN also on November 2.
The For Bend (TX) County Fair will hold a corn dog eating contest on October 2 awarding $250 to the winner.

I think 26:40 is the female non-Molly Schuyler record for the challenge.
