Ryan Fitzpatrick has become the current starting quarterback for the New York Jets after Geno Smith was injured from a punch thrown by former teammate IK Enemkpali. Fitzpatrick has attempted the 72 ounce steak at the Big Texan twice: completing it in 49 minutes in 2012 and reversing after 53 minutes in 2013.
The new poll asks who you think is most likely to take the Big Texan 72 ounce steak record (currently 4:18) from Molly Schuyler.

The times for all three challenges were 4:18, 7:29 and 8:13. All three times broke Joey Chestnut’s previous record of 8:52. Her times from 2014 (4:58 & 9:59) giver her 5 of the 7 sub 10-minute finishes. Former MLB pitcher Frank Pastore (RIP) has the other (9:30 from 1987)
This morning, Molly ate a 9.5 burrito on Kiss FM to giver her a total of over 22 pounds of food consumed in 15 hour (before | after | video )
Rich and Carlene LeFevre did not compete against Molly despite being mentioned as a competing team.

Amarillo.com has a preview of Molly Schuyler attempting three (possibly four) 72 ounce steak meals at the Big Texan on Sunday. The event will be live-streamed at 3pm central time.

Stephanie Wu announces she ate two 72 ounce steak challenges at Sayler's in Portland. She finished the first meal in 16:%2 and the second in 56:12. As far as I know, this is the fourth time someone has finished two 72 ounce steaks in a session. Two 72 ounce meals at the Big Texan has been finished three times: wrestler Klondike Bill (1966), Rich LeFevre (2000), Molly Schuyler (2014).

She will face four teams of two, one of which will be Rich and Carlene LeFevre. In a 2000 Ripley’s Believe it or Not program, Carlene LeFevre finished the steak challenge in 32 minutes, which was billed as a new women’s record. (Results from that episode do not appear in the finishers list).
update Nov 12 On her trip, Stephanie also set the women’s record for the milkshake challenge at Crown Candy Kitchen in St. Louis and the overall Onion Burger record at Dust Bowl in Tulsa.

Amarillo.com reports that at least 10 Chinese tourists will attempt the 72 ounce steak at the Big Texan tomorrow live on a reality show. update July 25 Amarillo.com reports none of the group finished the challenge.
Shiloh Brew and Chew in Maryville, TN, previously famous for an 80 ounce steak challenge, claims its business has increased after it posted a "Guns are Welcome" sign on its front door. The owner, Sharma Floyd, claims the sign was inspired by news of a robbery in North Carolina that occurred at a location with a gun ban. The Big Texan reports that Molly Schuyler finished the 72 ounce steak challenge meal in 4:58, almost half the time of Joey Chestnut’s previous record. After finishing her first challenge meal, she ate another challenge in 9:59. This makes the new all time wall of fame top 4 (Amarillo.com article)

Molly Schuyler is the 3rd person to finish two 72 Big Texan steaks in one session. Pro wrestler Klondike Bill ate two in 1966 and Rich LeFevre consumed 144 ounces of steak on the Donnie and Marie Osmond show in 2000.
I think Carlene LeFevre had the previous women’s Big Texan record at 30 minutes, 6 times longer than Molly Schuyler’s duration. As far as I know, no women have done the challenge in 10:00Â – 29:59.
update May 27 Here is the updated list for fastest female finishing times for 72+ ounce steaks. Molly Schuyler has at least five attempts under 10 minutes. I am not aware of any other women finishing in under 20 minutes.

Rich LeFevre and "El Toro" finished the 48 ounce prime rib challenge at Jerry's Nugget in Las Vegas on its launch date yesterday.
