Battle of the Big Eaters 4 recorded in Union Square Park in Manhattan today. Here are what the teams appear to be:
- USA: Molly Schuyler, Erik Lamkin, Bob Shoudt, Dave Brunelli
- Japan: Moeno Azuki, Tanisaki Takahito & two other males
- UK: Adam “Beard Meats Food” Moran, Leah Shutkever, Emma Dalton, Marc Pitt

Vancouver.craigslist.ca has a request for Canadian competitive eaters to compete in the qualifier for Battle of the Big Eaters 4 in Vancouver in September. The selected competitors will face teams from Japan, the USA and another country later in the fall in Dallas. The article has an account of Pat Bertoletti vs. Hitomi Sato in Battle of Big Eaters 3 along with short profiles of "Gal" Sone and Moe Azuki. TV Tokyo has a page about the Battle of the Big Eaters program that will be televised on January 1. The teams:
- USA: Molly Schuyler, Pat Bertoletti, Bob Shoudt, Tom Gilbert
- UK: Adam “Beard Meats Food” Moran, Emma Dalton, Leah Shutkever, Marc
- Japan: Hatsuyo Sugawara, Hitomi “Russian” Sato, Moeno Azuki, male I don’t recognize
- Taiwan: Chien Shu, You Lin (?), Ming Che, Ya Lin
It is interesting that Taiwan got a team when competitive eating appears to be a lot bigger in other Asian countries (Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, …)
update The other Briton is Marc “Bottomless” Pitt the Japanese is probably Takamasa “Max” Suzuki
