PasadenaNow.com reports that the Beef Bowl, a steak eating contest held at Lawry's in Beverly Hills, CA, for members of Rose Bowl teams did not take place before today's game as a result of the new 12 team college football playoff format. Joey Chestnut has apparently reconciled with Major League Eating. He appeared on WISH and Fox59 this morning to promote Saturday's St. Elmo shrimp cocktail eating contest in Indianapolis. If Joey competes, it would be his first MLE contest since May. Miki Sudo and Nick Wehry are also expected to compete. update Joey confirmed he will compete on the Fox 59 morning news. Geoff Esper and Pat Bertoletti are also expected to compete. update On the Bob & Tom Show, Joey says says he has yet to reconcile with Nathan's Famous and is not sure if he will compete to regain his title on July 4.
