www.floridaicecreamfestival.org/ announces that the next edition of the Lakeland, FL event will not take place until 2016. MLE contests were held at the festival in 2013 and 2014.

NY Daily News reports Ben Siegel, owner of Ben Siegel Reptiles in Deerfield Beach, FL, was arrested after he smacked an employees with a bearded dragon lizard. His business was the site of a bug eating contest in 2012 resulting in the death of competitor Eddy Archbold.
