For her fourth public eating challenge, Grace Lee of Atlanta GSpots will attempt to eat as much crawfish as possible over two hours at The Nook in Atlanta on February 16.
The Arena Tavern in Duluth Georgia (North Atlanta area) will hold a the Yuengling Wing Bowl tomorrow.

The Emory Wheel has an interview with the manager of Big Pie in the Sky Pizza about its Carnivore Challege who says that the most recent pair to complete the challenge (who are not yet listed on the online wall of fame) included a female who wants to start a "Woman vs. Food" show.

Juliet and Floria and not the only big-eating Lees on the east coast. Grace Lee has an Atlanta restaurant website at AtlantaGSpots.com containing an eating challenge page with the following description:
Stay tuned as Grace and her unbelievable appetite take on new challenges every month. She’s challenging Atlanta to out-eat her and, at 5’2″ and 110lbs, she’s setting records, beating men twice her size, and tearing up the city!
There are videos of two eating challenges: setting the record at Varasano’s Pizzeria by eating 30 slices and a wing challenge where Grace ate 60 wings.

The Arch Fest in Jesup, Georgia will hold a hot dog eating contest on Saturday awarding $175 ($100 to the winner). Bruce "The Hangman" Pobanz will appear at the contest and be available for pictures and autographs.
Twisted Taco in Atlanta will host a jalapeno eating contest on October 2 that will award a Jager Meister machine. The restaurant will also have a seven pound burrito challenge for one day.

The Krystal Square Off blog has an interview with Eric “Badlands” Booker, who will compete in the Birmingham qualifier on Saturday. “Humble” Bob Shoudt will compete in the Atlanta qualifier on Sunday and Micah “Wing Kong” Collins, Eric “Steakbellie” Livingston, Kevin Ross and Paul Barlow will compete in unspecified qualifiers this weekend.
La Costena will hold a one minunte jalapeno eating contest today at Festival Peachtree Latino in Atlanta today awarding $200 to the winner at 3 pm.

While we await the restoration of sonyatheblackwidow.com (or news of its permanent demise), here is a working web page by another big eater with the same first name. Sonya Sorich, a reporter for the Columbus (GA) Ledger-Enquirer wrote a blog entry in 2007 about her attempt at the 1.5 pound Marine Burger at the Four Winds in Cusseta, Georgia:
Anyway, I’d been twice before, and devoured the [1 pound] Ranger Burger — and fries — with no trouble. It felt good, but I always came home with a sinking realization that I’d hit a plateau. So this time, I knew I had no choice but to order the Marine Burger, a 1.5-lb. burger that’s not even on the menu. It comes with cheese, ham, bacon, tomatoes, pickles, lettuce and onions. And don’t forget the fries and sweet tea.
Honestly, at first I didn’t know if I’d be able to do it. Fortunately, I got an inspirational phone call this morning from my mom in California. Her exact words? “Sonya, you can eat anything.”
