Morey's Piers in Wildwood, NJ will hold a curley fries eating contest awarding $500 to the winner on May 28. Entrants will need to submit a video telling why they want to compete to receive a spot in the contest.

The MLE facebook announces the return of Atlantic City King Cake (March 8), the Palm Beach Sweet Corn (April 16) and Stockton, CA asparagus (April 17) contests.

A poster on the Man v Food forum announces that Toojay’s Deli in Palm Beach Florida will hold its second corned beef eating contest on March 17. The purse for the professional contest will reportedly be $20,000 and $5,000 will be awarding in an amateur competition. Tony Boloney's in Atlantic City has started a "Slaughter Stack" pizza challenge weighing 10 pounds.
Will Millender reports that his team consisting of "Gentleman" Joe Menchetti, Joel "the Cannon" Podelsky and himself won the $2,500 first prize at a wing contest at the New Jersey State Barbecue Championship. The team containing Jon "Super" Squibb and David "Tiger Wings" Brunelli was the runner up.
A wing eating contest for three person teams at the New Jersey State Barbecue on Saturday will award $2,500 to the winning team. (Registration Link) Nick "Papagorgio" is seeking a third member for his team.

update The Press of Atlantic City has a contest report. Jon Squibb won the contest by eating 27 slices in an hour. Tom Davis and Dale Boone comprised the rest of the top 3. Brad Sciullo did not compete.

Herald Standard on Brad Sciullo’s training regimen

The Herald Standard has an article about “Rock the Tot” national champion Brad Sciullo, who will compete in a pizza eating contest reportedly awarding $5,000 at Tony Baloney’s in Atlantic City tomorrow. Brad credits his tater tot victory to his training for a previous pierogi contest and says he has been eating five pounds of pizza a day to prepare for tomorrow’s contest.
