Miki Sudo, Adrian Morgan, Juan Rodriguez, Jeff Butler and Steve Hendry are expected to compete in tomorrow's Hooters wing qualfier tomorrow. This means that at most five of the 2012 finalists will return to the 2013 finals: Sonya Thomas, Joey Chestnut, Juliet Lee, Erik Denmark and possibly Adrian Morgan.
Paulie's Pizza in Reno will hold a "King of the Wing" eating contest on July 14 awarding $500 to the winner.
History.com has a clip from the June 26 episode of Only in America with Larry the Cable Guy of a burger eating contest recorded at the Heart Attack Grill won by Miki Sudo. Larry says Miki could be the next Sonya Thomas and also mentions Joey Chestnut's Krystal burger record. (via Pilgrim Studios)
The Las Vegas episode of Only in America with Larry the Cable Guy will be televised on the History Channel on June 26 according to zap2it.com. A burger eating contest at the Heart Attack Grill won by Miki Sudo was recorded for the program.

The building formerly housing the NASCAR cafe at the former Sahara hotel in Las Vegas was demolished as part of a renovation project that will result in the property's reopening as SLS Las Vegas in fall 2014. The restaurant famous for the 6+ pound B3 Burrito closed in 2011.(via Captain Dave)
Diablo's Cantina in Las Vegas will hold a "Hot Chicks vs. Hot Wings" contest on May 14 awarding $5000. Entry is restricted to "service industry ladies".

"Patient" John Alleman, the unofficial spokesman for the Heart Attack Grill, died after experiencing a heart attack. The previous spokesman for the Las Vegas restaurant, Blair River, passed away in March 2011.
