ReadFrontier has an interview with Joey Chestnut about competing in Saturday's bratwurst eating contest at Linde Oktoberfest Tulsa.
Joey Chestnut, Michelle Lesco, Rich LeFevre and Nate Biller are expected to compete in the Siegi Sausage Eating Contest at Linde Oktoberfest Tulsa on October 24.
Registration will open Monday on majorleagueeating.com for a new bratwurst eating contest in Tulsa on October 24 and a turkey eating contest ($10K purse) at the Mohegan Sun in Connecticut on November 21. Registration is now open for the chili eating contest at Taste of DC on October 10.
Youtube has a video of the end of the Brutus Burger challenge held at the Hard Rock Casino in Tulsa earlier this month. An unnamed competitor would have won $5,000 if he had avoided a "reversal of fortune". Adam Richman served as MC for the event.
The Hard Rock Cafe in Tulsa will hold eating contests on March 19, 26 and April 2 as part of its Brutus Burger Challenge. Adam Richman will host the final contest that will award $5,000.
Stephanie Wu finishes Big Texan challenge in 30:40
Stephanie Wu announced that she finished the 72 ounce steak challenge at The Big Texan in Amarillo, TX in 30:40. This would make the five fastest times for women in the official finishers list (a fire destroyed pre-1991 records)

In a 2000 Ripley’s Believe it or Not program, Carlene LeFevre finished the steak challenge in 32 minutes, which was billed as a new women’s record. (Results from that episode do not appear in the finishers list).
update Nov 12 On her trip, Stephanie also set the women’s record for the milkshake challenge at Crown Candy Kitchen in St. Louis and the overall Onion Burger record at Dust Bowl in Tulsa.
The Steak and Catfish Barn in Edmond, OK, site of the catfish challenge in the Oklahoma City episode of Man v Food will close at the end of this month so its owners can retire in Italy.
Kiowa Casino in Devol, OK will hold a 20 inch chili dog eating contest tomorrow awarding $300 to the winner.
Henry Hudson's Pub is holding a jalapeno eating circuit at its Oklahoma City area locations this month. The finals on August 1 will award a trip to Mexico.
Baker Street Pub in Tulsa will hold a Scotch egg eating contest on August 11 awarding $250 to the winner.

Today’s Nathan’s qualifier at Winstar World Casino in Thackerville, OK is expected to start at 1 pm central time.
Nate Biller and Bam Martinez along with Pete Davekos and Yasir Salem are expected to compete in Sunday's Nathan's qualifier at the Winstar Casino in Thackerville, OK. Kevin "LA Beast" will be a last minute addition to the field. Mary Bowers will headline the women's division. (A Mary Bowers victory could send the women's wild card into disarray. She appears to be currently leading the female runners-up with 9.5, and it is not clear who would become the top wild card after a win since the women's runners-up have generally not been announced and it is possible that they have not been recorded at all.)

Three Heisman Trophy winners from the University of Oklahoma (Steve Owens, Billy Sims & Jason White) will host a wing eating contest at Autographs Sportsbar in Norman, OK on Sept 1.
Henry Hudson's Pub will hold a jalapeno eating contest in Oklahoma City on August 11 awarding a trip for two to Cancun. Qualifiers will take place at Henry Hudson's locations throughout the Oklahoma City area in July and August. The next qualifier will be tomorrow at the Remington Park location.
