The new poll asks what action, if any, Nathan's / MLE should take regarding HB2, North Carolina's controversial transgender bathroom law. Bruce Springsteen and Pearl Jam have cancelled concerts in the state to protest it and the NBA says it could move the 2017 All Star Game from Charlotte if the law is not repealed. The next Nathan's qualifier will be on May 28 at the Speed Street Festival in Charlotte.

Adrian Morgan's facebook says he plans to attend the Saturday Nathan's qualifier at Memorial City Mall in Houston. Nela Zisser will headline the women's field.
Odds are now available for the 2016 Nathan's finals at Bovada Sportsbook. Matt Stonie (-170) and Miki Sudo (-150) are the favorites. Joey Chestnut (+130) and Sonya Thomas (+110) are underdogs. The over/under for the winner's totals are 63.5 and 39.5.
The St. Louis Cardinals produced a video of the April 16 Nathan's qualifier including interviews with Matt Stonie and Mary Bowers. The video lists the contest announcer's name as "George Shey".

Mary Bowers will seek her first victory in qualifier with multiple women when she faces off against Taylor Coombs. Marlene Wigginton will not attempt to threepeat the women’s qualifier due to her pregnancy.
Matt Stonie will be present at Saturday's Nathan's qualifier in St. Louis but will not compete. Juan Rodriguez will look to defend his qualifier title while wearing Chicago Blackhawks gear.
2015-16 Nathan’s qualifier circuit map
A map of the 2015-16 Nathan’s qualifier circuit (contests marked by hot dogs) is posted below which shows how Mid-Atlantic heavy this circuit will be. There will be 7 contests between Charlotte and Syracuse, 2 in Texas and 3 (Nashville, St. Louis, Las Vegas) outside those regions. Areas without qualifiers include the Pacific Coast states, Mountain Time Zone states, Great Lakes states and New England.
Nathan's qualifier registration notifications came out yesterday. Dave "The Termite" Wood was denied a spot in the Pocono qualifier despite being second in the wild card race last year.

2016 Nathan’s qualifier circuit released
Matt Cohen noticed that 6 Nathan’s qualifiers were added to the MLE contest list:
- Charlotte, NC (Speed Street) 5/28
- Syracuse (Taste of Syracuse) 6/4
- Long Pond, PA (Pocono Raceway) 6/5
- Norfolk, VA (Harborfest) 6/12
- Queens, NY (Mets game) 6/19
- Washington, DC (Giant National Capital BBQ Battle) 6/25
Registration opens March 14.
If that is the final list, there will only be one Pacific & Mountain time zone qualifier (Las Vegas) and one midwest qualifier (St. Louis). 7 qualifiers will take place between Charlotte and Syracuse with no east coast qualifiers outside that region.
The Phantom Gourmet BBQ & Music Festival will hold a hot dog eating contest on June 25 in Rochester, NH, so that is probably another Nathan's qualifier.

Registration will open tomorrow at noon Central for the Nathan's qualifier at the St. Louis Cardinals ballpark on April 16.
Nate Biller, Mary Bowers and Bam Martinez are expected to compete in the Nathan's qualifier at the H-E-B Big League Weekend Fan Fest in San Antonio March 19.
Nathan's Famous is a sponsor for the Cardinals bobblehead promotion on April 16, so that is the probable date for the Saint Louis qualifier.
Nathan's Famous is listed as the presenter of the the Father's Day cap promotion at the June 19 Mets game, so that is the most likely day of the 2016 Nathan's New York City qualifier.
Registration is now open for the Nathan's qualifier in Houston on April 30. Registration will open at noon Pacific / 3 pm eastern for the Las Vegas qualifier on April 23. update Registration for the National Sweet Corn Eating Championship in West Palm Beach on April 24 is also open.

Stephanie Wu noticed that a Nathan's qualifier at Memorial City Mall in Houston on April 30 has been added to the MLE schedule. Registration opens February 12.
Registration is now open for the Nathan's qualifier in San Antonio on March 19. The contest will take place before the MLB exhibition between the Texas Rangers and Kansas City Royals at the Alamodome.
The first Nathan's qualifier of 2016 will be held in San Antonio on March 19.
