Philly.com has an article about Wing Bowl 22 odds claiming that Pat Bertoletti ate 17 sandwiches in 35 minutes at Jim's Steaks to qualify. (His stunt was eating scrapple and cream cheese). This would smash the official record of 13 sandwiches set by Bob Shoudt in 2007. Lynda Kuerth claimed to have eaten 15 sandwiches in the 1970s.

Pie Wood Fired Pizza in Barrie, Ontario announced Let em Eat 4. Takeru Kobayashi, Pat Bertoletti and Jamie McDonald are expected to compete in the pizza eating contest. update September 17 The facebook event page announces that the contest will take place on October 6 and award $4500 ($3000 to the winner). Entrants will need to qualify and the top 11 will receive spots.

The facebook event page for Bartolini's meatball eating contest on July 21 in Midlothian, IL lists Pat Bertoletti and defending champion as expected entrants. The pro division of the contest will award $4950 ($2500 to the winner). Entrants will need to eat 12 meatballs to attempt to qualify; the top 20 times will receive a contest spot.
